Robert has extensive experience in healthcare management, developing strategic plans and directing financial, operational, and clinical initiatives.  He is currently the President of the National Cancer Treatment Alliance (NCTA) a national network of community oncology practices whose focus is to contract directly through value-based agreements with health care purchasers for oncology services.  Prior to joining NCTA Robert was the CEO of Dayton Physicians, where he merged 3 independent Physician practices (Medical Oncology/Radiation Oncology/Urology) to create a large multi-specialty practice.  

Robert received his Bachelor of Science in Education from Bowling Green State University, Master of Science in Hospital and Health Service Administration from Central Michigan University, and a Nursing Degree from Excelsior College.

Alexandra Chong, PhD, is an analyst for CMS Innovation Center.  Alexandra is currently Deputy Director of the Division of Ambulatory Payment Models, which oversees the oncology model development at the CMS Innovation Center.  She has previously served as the policy lead for the Enhancing Oncology Model (EOM) and Oncology Care Model (OCM) and has been at CMMI since 2016.  Alexandra has extensive experience and expertise in experimental design and theories in social-health psychology, the development and implementation of value-based care in oncology and its relation to Medicare payment reform. 

Marianne Fazen, PhD is Executive Director of DFW Business Group on Health (DFWBGH), a coalition of 50 North Texas employers committed to improving healthcare quality, access and affordability for employees.  Ms. Fazen also serves as President and CEO of the Texas Business Group on Health, a non-profit statewide association advocating Texas employers’ interests in state and federal healthcare policy issues. 

As part of her leadership role in DFWBGH and TBGH, Ms. Fazen also serves as Regional Director of the national Path Forward for Mental Health & Substance Use initiative, and Regional Director of the Leapfrog Group in North Texas. 

Ms. Fazen is a frequent speaker and commentator on employer-related healthcare issues.  She also is recognized as one of Dallas 500 Most Powerful Business Leaders by D CEO Magazine for seven years and as a DFW Healthcare Leader by Dallas Business Journal.

Ms. Fazen has an undergraduate degree in Medical Technology from the University of Wisconsin and a Doctorate in Communications Science & Human Development from the University of Texas at Dallas.

Nicolas Ferreyros is Managing Director of Policy, Advocacy, and Communications at the Community Oncology Alliance (COA), the only national organization dedicated solely to preserving and protecting local, affordable, and accessible cancer care. He is responsible for all internal and external communications at COA, including media relations, policy communications, and digital strategy.

A seasoned advocacy and communications strategist with more than 15 years of experience in health care, Nick specializes in developing successful campaigns to address complex issues. He has a deep understanding of the people and processes that affect America’s health care system and has a knack for translating the “wonkery” of health policy into language and concepts that resonate with policymakers, providers, patients, and voters.

Nick has engaged in nearly every major recent health policy issue before Congress and regulatory agencies, including the Affordable Care Act, the 340B Drug Pricing Program, Medicare reimbursement policy, and more. He has worked closely with policymakers on Capitol Hill, the White House, the Department of Health & Human Services, Food and Drug Administration, and National Institutes of Health. Dr. Annette C. Fontaine is a native of the Caribbean Island of Dominica. She received her medical training at Ross University School of Medicine on the island and then migrated to the United States. She did residency in Internal Medicine followed by a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia. In 2006, she joined New Mexico Hematology Oncology Consultants, Ltd. where she cares for patients with solid tumors and hematologic malignancies. Her interest in the business of medicine led her to earn an MBA from the University of Tennessee, subsequently accepting the role of Chief Medical Officer at the cancer center. 

She is passionate about making a difference in the lives of patients and her peers hence she volunteers her time on the board of trustees of the Greater Albuquerque Medical Association, Councilor of New Mexico Medical Society, President of New Mexico Society of Clinical Oncology and Medical Director of Dominica Health and Education Initiative.

She is board certified in Hematology and Medical Oncology and a member of AMA, ASCO and ASH.

As CEO of Highlands of Oncology in NW Arkansas, Jeff Hunnicutt has demonstrated a passion for creating a work environment where people are engaged and energized to provide outstanding patient care. Dr. Indurlal has more than a decade of experience in oncology healthcare management and value-based care, leading initiatives that bridge clinical excellence with cost-effective outcomes. Most recently, he served as the senior director of care transformation and analytics at The US Oncology Network, where he led the adoption and implementation of value-based care programs across the network. Prior to that, he was the director of clinical services and operations for Illinois Cancer Specialists, a large medical/radiation oncology practice in the Chicago region. He is experienced in medical management, healthcare strategy, operational execution, financial management, utilization management, care redesign and transformation, practice growth, healthcare quality, alternative payment models, payer relationships, and data and analytics. His research on oncology value-based care and care transformation has been presented at national conferences such as ASCO and NCCN. He has published articles in JCO, JAPhA and JNCCN, and has presented at national and industry conferences on value-based care, provider strategy, practice management, and care transformation.

Dr. McAneny is a board‐certified medical oncologist/hematologist based in Albuquerque, New Mexico and
the co‐founder and CEO of New Mexico Oncology Hematology Consultants. She was the 173rd president
of the American Medical Association and used that position to encourage the AMA to file its successful
lawsuits blocking the consolidation of large insurance companies and protecting Title 10 funding. Prior to
her Presidency, Dr McAneny served for 10 years on the AMA Board of Trustees, including as Chair. As the
Delegate from ASCO, prior to her election to the Board, she served 8 years and chaired the AMA policy
committee, the Council on Medical Service. Dr. McAneny is a fellow and former member of the ASCO
Board of Directors, a past president of the New Mexico Medical Society (NMMS), the Greater
Albuquerque Medical Association and the New Mexico Society of Clinical Oncology. In 2012, Dr McAneny
received a $19.8 M award from CMMI to create COME HOME, Community Oncology Medical Home, which
was the precursor to the Oncology Care Model and many other value‐based care processes for oncology.
Dr. McAneny is the co‐chair of the board and one of the Founders of the ONCare Alliance, a network of
independent oncology practices across the United States, organized to provide collaborative, cutting‐edge
oncology care, to bring clinical trials to community practices, to develop new alternative payment models
based on sound data‐driven principles and teach young and mid‐career oncologists how to manage a
successful practice. Prior to this, she was a founding member of Oncology Circle, a group of oncology
practices using data to promote best practices and contribute data to ASCO’s Practice Net. As an early
advocate of managing the social determinants of health, she founded New Mexico Cancer Center
Foundation which helps cancer patients overcome barriers to care by providing grants to pay for their
non‐medical expenses. Now she is developing the Cancer Safety Net Foundation to help ONCare Alliance
practices address patients with their non‐medical needs so patients can focus on getting their care.
Currently she is President of New Mexico Independent Doctors, a clinically integrated network of practices
committed to improving care in New Mexico.

Brian Mulherin is a hematologist-oncologist at Hematology Oncology of Indiana, a practice within the American Oncology Network (AON).  He’s been in practice since 2012.  He’s an active member of AON’s P&T Committee, and has served as AON’s medical director since January 2024.  He’s the managing partner of his Indianapolis clinic, and is an advisory board member of MiBA (Meaningful Insights Biotech Analytics), a data analytics firm aiming to transform patient care by delivering the highest quality real-world insights to healthcare providers and biopharma partners.  He’s active in expanding research opportunities within AON, and has a special focus on value-based care.  He is a member of ASCO and ASH.  He lives with his wife and four children outside Indianapolis, and in his spare time enjoys playing the piano.

John M. O'Brien, PharmD, MPH, is President & CEO of the National Pharmaceutical Council, which serves patients and society with policy-relevant research on the value of patient access to innovative medicines and the importance of scientific advancement. We envision a world where advances in medicine are accessible to patients, valued by society, and sustainably reimbursed by payers to ensure continued innovation. 

Dr. O’Brien’s experience spanning the private sector, academia, and government gives him a unique perspective on public policy. Prior to joining NPC, Dr. O’Brien was senior advisor to the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services and deputy assistant secretary of planning and evaluation during the previous Trump administration. He has also held senior roles in the life sciences and managed care industries, was a career official at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and served as a health policy fellow in the U.S. Senate.

Ted Okon is a nationally recognized expert on the policy and politics of cancer care. He is quoted extensively in the press, including guest appearances on TV and radio news shows. Ted has testified before Congress on cancer issues and is frequently on Capitol Hill discussing the nation’s cancer care delivery system. Ted’s target areas of expertise include the cost of cancer treatment, health care reform, Medicare reimbursement, pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), drug shortages, and the changing landscape of cancer care delivery in the United States.

Ted has dedicated his career to healthcare business and policy. He has worked for several pharmaceutical companies including Merck and Warner-Lambert, now part of Pfizer, and IMS Health. He co-founded and took public the health care information business Medical Marketing Group. He also founded two oncology companies (an oncology clinical research network and an information network) and has traveled extensively to China, India, Singapore, the U.K., and the Middle East, analyzing and discussing cancer care delivery.

As executive director of the Community Oncology Alliance (COA), Ted oversees the strategic direction of this non-profit organization dedicated to patients and providers in the community cancer care setting, under the direction of a dedicated board of oncologists and practice administrators. Ted also travels the country speaking to state oncology societies, professional organizations, and companies about the challenges facing the nation’s cancer care delivery system. He has authored numerous articles and studies relating to cancer care policy and politics, reimbursement, and clinical issues.

Ted holds a BS degree from Fairfield University and an MBA from the Carnegie-Mellon University Tepper School of Business. His wife Susan practiced as a certified oncology nurse.

Alti Rahman is the Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer at American Oncology Network. He holds a dual master’s degree in business administration and healthcare administration and is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt.

Sherri Samuels-Fuerst is the former VP – Total Rewards at Sargento Foods Inc. While at The US Oncology Network, Dr. Wilfong was instrumental in implementing both the Oncology Care Model and the Enhancing Oncology Model while driving performance in multiple commercial value-based care contracts. He previously led the Value-Based Physician Champion task force for The US Oncology Network and chaired the US Oncology Pathways Task Force. Dr. Wilfong currently co-chairs the Community Oncology Alliance Payer Reform Committee and serves on the ASCO drug shortages committee. He formerly volunteered on the ASCO quality measures task force and the ASCO guidelines committee.  While at Texas Oncology, Dr. Wilfong served as medical director of the COVID-19 Task Force and was the physician lead for their electronic medical record conversion. He has received various teaching and community service awards and has published over 50 papers and abstracts.

In 2003, Dr. Wilfong completed a fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas in hematology and medical oncology. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the same school in 2000, as well as earned his M.D. from there in 1997. He earned a B.S. degree in mathematics at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, in 1993.

Alexandra Zaleta, PhD, is Associate Vice President of Research and Insights at CancerCare, a national non-profit providing free support to people affected by cancer. As a research scientist, clinical psychologist, and caregiver advocate, Dr. Zaleta leads person-centered research on access, affordability, and the real-world impact of insurance barriers on people with cancer. She is a nationally recognized expert in patient and caregiver experience and is committed to translating research insights into policy and programmatic action. Dr. Zaleta completed her PhD in Psychology at Washington University in St. Louis, clinical internship at the VA Boston Healthcare System, and postdoctoral training at Ohio State Wexner Medical Center.
